FAQ — Daffidee

Question 1

What is Daffidee?

Accepted Answer

Daffidee is a kid-friendly calendar app designed for children in co-parenting families. It shows kids their custody schedule in a colorful, easy-to-understand way, lets them check in with their mood each day, and allows them to personalize their space with stickers and wallpapers. The app is open for the child to use freely — no login required on their end — while calendar settings and entries are kept in a separate parent-only area.

Question 2

What age is Daffidee designed for?

Accepted Answer

Daffidee is designed for children aged 5 to 13. The interface is intentionally simple and visual so that even younger children can understand their schedule at a glance.

Question 3

Is Daffidee available on iOS and Android?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Daffidee will be available on both iOS and Android when it launches. We're also exploring a web version for kids who use tablets or school Chromebooks.

Question 4

Is my child's data safe?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We take children's privacy extremely seriously. Daffidee complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR. We collect only the minimum data needed to run the app, never sell data to third parties, and give parents full visibility and control.

Question 5

Do both parents need to have the app?

Accepted Answer

No — Daffidee is designed to be set up and managed by one parent. There is no separate child account; the app is openly accessible for the child to use, but the settings area where calendar information is entered is parent-only. The other parent does not get automatic access — if you'd like them to manage the calendar too, you can share your login with them.

Question 6

Does Daffidee require both parents to cooperate?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. One parent sets up and manages the entire account — the other parent has no access unless you choose to share your login with them. Daffidee is designed to work completely independently, which makes it a great fit for all kinds of co-parenting situations.

Question 7

Can the schedule handle complex custody arrangements?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Daffidee supports a wide range of custody patterns — alternating weeks, 2-2-3 schedules, holiday overrides, and more. You can set a repeating pattern and then add exceptions for holidays or special events.

Question 8

What if the schedule changes last minute?

Accepted Answer

Parents can update the schedule at any time, and the child's calendar will reflect the change immediately. We're also building a gentle notification system so kids aren't caught off guard by last-minute changes.

Question 9

When does Daffidee launch?

Accepted Answer

We're targeting a launch in Fall 2026. We'll share updates on our social channels as we get closer to the big day.

Question 10

Is Daffidee free?

Accepted Answer

Question 11
