Daffidee

Terms of Service

Effective date: September 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Drawbridge Web, Inc. ("Drawbridge Web," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Daffidee mobile application (the "App" or "Service"). By downloading, creating an account for, or otherwise using Daffidee, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who these Terms are for

Daffidee is designed for use by children in a shared-custody household, under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Accounts are created and controlled by a parent or guardian, not by a child. By creating an account, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian (or otherwise have legal authority to make decisions for them) and that you are at least 18 years old.

2. What Daffidee is (and isn't)

Daffidee is a calendar and organizational tool that helps a child understand and follow a custody or parenting-time schedule, log their mood, and earn sticker rewards. Daffidee is an organizational aid, not a legal document. The schedule shown in the app is only as accurate as what a parent enters, and it does not replace, modify, or interpret any custody agreement, parenting plan, or court order. If the schedule in the app ever conflicts with your actual legal agreement, the legal agreement controls — not the app.

3. Not a location-tracking or safety tool

Daffidee is not a GPS tracker, location-tracking service, or child safety-monitoring tool, and must not be used as one. The app shows which house a child is scheduled to be at according to the custody pattern a parent has entered — it does not know, verify, or confirm where a child actually is at any given moment. A day displayed in the app reflects the schedule, not a real-time or after-the-fact confirmation of your child's whereabouts.

Do not rely on Daffidee to determine your child's actual location, to confirm a custody exchange has taken place, or for any purpose related to your child's physical safety. If you have any concern about where your child is or their safety, contact the other parent or guardian directly, and contact local law enforcement immediately if you believe your child may be missing or in danger. Do not use this app as a substitute for that.

4. The Service is free

Daffidee is currently free to use, with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or ads. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll present additional terms and pricing clearly before you're asked to pay for anything, and using Daffidee's free features will never require it.

5. Accounts

Creating an account (email and password, via Firebase Authentication) is optional — Daffidee works fully offline without one. If you do create an account:

  • You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
  • You agree to provide an accurate email address, since it's how we'd reach you about your account (for example, a password reset).
  • You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Backup & sync → Delete my account), which permanently removes your cloud-synced data as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Data retention, account deletion, and security incidents

Local data. Daffidee's calendar, mood logs, and sticker progress are stored on your device and work fully offline. This on-device data isn't affected by anything in this section — it stays until you delete it yourself (for example, via Settings → Reset my progress, or by uninstalling the app).

Cloud account data. If you create an optional account for backup and sync, we keep that account and its cloud-synced data only for as long as the account is active:

  • Inactivity. If a cloud account has no activity for 6 months, we'll email you a heads-up before automatically deleting the account and its cloud-synced backup. Your on-device data is unaffected — you can keep using Daffidee locally, or create a new account later to resume backup and sync.
  • Manual deletion. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Backup & sync → Delete my account. We aim to remove your cloud-synced data, including from backups, within 30 days.
  • Minimal collection. We only collect what's needed to operate the optional account and sync features (see our Privacy Policy for the full list) — this keeps what there is to retain, and what could be exposed in the unlikely event of a breach, to a minimum.

If a security incident occurs. In the unlikely event we discover a breach affecting your account data, we will investigate promptly, take reasonable steps to contain it, and notify affected account holders by email without unreasonable delay, consistent with applicable law (for example, Florida law generally requires notice to affected individuals within 30 days of determining a breach occurred). We'll also notify any government agencies required by law. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle your data and how to reach us with a security concern.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Daffidee for any purpose other than organizing a child's custody schedule and related activities within your own family;
  • Attempt to access another person's account or data;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it;
  • Use the app in any way that violates applicable law, or that is intended to harm, mislead, or exploit a child; or
  • Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for anyone who violates these Terms.

8. Content you provide

Some parts of Daffidee let you type in your own text — house names, event titles, and similar fields. You keep ownership of anything you write; you just grant us the limited right to store and display it back to you (and, if you enable cloud sync, to sync it across your devices) as part of providing the Service. We don't use this content for any other purpose, and we don't share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

You're responsible for what you or your child enters into these fields. Please don't include anyone else's sensitive personal information in a custom field.

9. Our intellectual property

The Daffidee app itself — its design, code, artwork, and the Daffidee name and logo — is owned by Drawbridge Web, Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or source code beyond what's needed to use the app as intended on your own device.

10. Third-party services

Daffidee relies on third-party infrastructure providers — currently Firebase Authentication and Google Firestore — to operate optional account and cloud-sync features. Your use of those features is also subject to this Service functioning correctly, which depends in part on those providers' availability. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on what data those providers process.

11. Disclaimers

Daffidee is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (to the extent permitted by law) any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any schedule calculation, mood streak, or sticker unlock will always be accurate or free of bugs.

Daffidee is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind — legal, medical, or otherwise. If you have concerns about your child's emotional wellbeing based on their mood check-ins, please talk to a qualified professional rather than relying on the app.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drawbridge Web, Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of Daffidee — including, without limitation, any dispute, scheduling conflict, or missed custody exchange that results from relying on the app rather than your actual legal custody agreement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drawbridge Web, Inc.'s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (1) $200 USD, or (2) the fees you paid to use the relevant Service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Since Daffidee is currently free to use, this cap is presently $200 USD.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Drawbridge Web, Inc. harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

14. Termination

You may stop using Daffidee and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we believe, in good faith, that you've violated these Terms or that doing so is necessary to protect other users or the Service itself.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you within the app or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Daffidee after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Agreement to arbitrate. You and Drawbridge Web, Inc. agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual action in small claims court. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and will be seated in Orange County, Florida (Orlando). Any judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver. Disputes must be brought on an individual basis only, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding.

Venue for non-arbitrable matters. For any dispute not subject to arbitration (for example, an action to enforce an arbitration award, or to seek injunctive relief to protect our intellectual property), you and Drawbridge Web, Inc. consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Orange County, Florida.

No opt-out. Agreement to this arbitration clause and class action waiver is a condition of using the Service and does not come with a separate opt-out period; by using Daffidee, you agree to be bound by them.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
